Ford's real estate career began in 1975 as owner of Bazar's Maintenance. While doing lawn care and repairing homes, Bazar met and did maintenance for the largest real estate firm in Conroe. He began doing property management for that firm in 1976. In 1979, he became a sales associate, and subsequently was promoted to sales manager, and later to Vice President.

In 1984 Bazar became co-owner of Tri Star Properties in Conroe. In 1988 he formed his own company, Ford Realty. He has personally closed over 2,700 homes in the greater Conroe area.

With a Bachelor of Arts degree in teaching Physical Education from Sam Houston State University, Bazar's interest in sports has led to his sponsorship of numerous football, basketball, soccer, baseball teams, and individuals. He is a lifetime member and sponsor of the Friends of Conroe, an auction buyer, and sponsor of the Montgomery County Fair Association. He is also a member of the National Association of Realtors®, Texas Association of Realtors®, Houston Association of Realtors®, and the Houston Multiple Listing Service.
